This newly inherited garden in Brockham had a complete makeover. The design plan gives recommendations for key plants and optimum mature heights for each bed or border.

A planting design for Dyers’ Almshouses in Crawley. There are 34 houses grouped around several acres of land. The resident manager requested a low level planting scheme so that views from the houses were clear. Crescent shaped borders were revived and the scheme gives excellent winter structure and year round planting interest despite the narrow bed profile.

Wide borders are more effective than narrow strips when it comes to planting. This Lingfield garden was easily transformed by re-shaping the borders along the fence.

Just two years later, the planting focuses on wildlife-friendly cultivars. Perennials perform well whilst structural plants grow

Managing woodland on Boxhill to relieve sapling congestion , aid bio-diversity on the woodland floor and improve the view. No design plan was required and the clients were thrilled with the spectacular view that unfolded.

This client in Smallfield had several good sized borders ready for planting. A plantswoman’s dream! It was a north facing aspect and planting was designed for low maintenance and year round interest.
